The 95-96 Lincoln Continental Air Suspension System, like all other air suspension systems, tends to fail after five to seven years, mainly because the rubber part of the air spring and air strut cracks from the stress of up and down motion. Usually the compressor fails quickly after leaks begin. If the car is fully extended and hard, then the solenoid in the compressor has failed.
